order issued in G.O.Ms.No.67 Municipal Administration and Water Supplies (Ma.Na.3) Department dated 24.04.1998 and in the light of the Judgment in W.P.No.6227/2022 and 25450/2021 dated 19.03.2025 together with all consequential service and monetary benefits, within a time-frame as deem fit and proper by this Hon'ble Court.

Mr.D.B.R.Prabhu, learned Standing Counsel takes notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 2.The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to consider and pass orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 24.01.2023 to regularize the services of the petitioner as Drivers with effect from 13.12.1995 as per the Resolution No.2984/95 dated 13.12.1995 of the Greater Chennai Corporation, and the ratification order issued in G.O.Ms.No.67, Municipal Administration and Water Supplies (Ma.Na.3) Department, dated 24.04.1998 and in the light of the Judgment in W.P.Nos.6227/2022 and 25450/2021 dated 19.03.2025 together with 2/4
all consequential service and monetary benefits, within a time-frame. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner was appointed as Driver during 1993 and was granted regular time scale of pay during 1994, however, his service was regularized only with effect from 29.05.1998. Therefore, claiming regularisation from the date of initial appointment, he has sent representation on 24.01.2023 and such representation is pending with the respondents.
4.At this juncture, the learned Standing Counsel would submit that the respondents would consider the petitioner's representation according to its own merits and in accordance with law, within a reasonable time.
5.In such view of the submission, without going into the merits of the writ petition, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondents to consider the above representation of the petitioner upon its own merits and in accordance with law and pass orders, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
