Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to issue individual patta for the land site situated in No.113, Amman Koil Street, Old S.No.93, New S.No. Block 9, T.S.No.27, Vadapalani Village, Chennai District having an extent of 1680 sq.fts based upon the petitioners representation dated 23.05.2022 and pass orders.

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to issue individual patta for the land site situated in No.113, Amman Koil Street, Old S.No.93, New S.No. Block 9, T.S.No.27, Vadapalani Village, Chennai District having an extent of 1680 sq.fts based upon the petitioners representation dated 23.05.2022
2. The learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the official respondent. In view of the consent expressed by the learned counsel appearing for either side, this petition is taken up for final disposal. 2/5
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the all the petitioners belong to a same family and they acquired the subject property by way of a partition deed. Whileso in order to develop and construct a house in the subject property petitioners herein approached the 3rd respondent to issue an individual patta in their name and also sent a representation to the first respondent on 23.05.2022. However, till date no orders have been passed. Hence, this writ petition is filed with the aforesaid prayer.
4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the it would suffice, if this Court issues direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.05.2022 and pass appropriate orders within a reasonable time fixed by this Court.
5. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondent submitted that the petitioner's representation dated 23.05.2022 will be considered by the respondent within a reasonable time fixed by this Court.

Considering the limited request made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to direct the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.05.2022 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7. With the above terms, this present writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
