ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the second respondent police to provide police protection to the petitioner and her family members and also give protection to the properties situated in Ariyalur District, Udaiyarpalayam Taluk, Kattagaram Village, extent 0.01.0 Ares in bearing Plot in Patta No.212/13 in block No.0.27.5, on the basis of the complaint dated 23.09.2022 given by the petitioner.

The learned counsel for the Petitioner submitted that a plot in Patta No.212/13 in Block No.0.27.5 measuring to an extent of 0.01.0 Ares at Kattagaram Village, Udaiyarpalayam Taluk, Ariyalur District was allotted to the petitioner by the Tahsildar, Udaiyarpalayam Taluk and on that basis, the petitioner is taking steps to erect building on the assigned land. But the respondents 3 to 6 attacked the petitioner and other families and also given trouble to them. Therefore, the petitioner made a complaint to the second respondent dated 23.09.2022 to take action against them and to give police protection, but it was not considered. Hence this petition. 2/5

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 submitted that, upon receiving the complaint from the petitioner, the respondent police conducted enquiry and found that there is a communal dispute between the parties with regard to the properties and hence, the matter has been referred to the Revenue Divisional Officer for Enquiry and awaiting for the report.

4. Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), the second respondent is directed to get the report from the Revenue Divisional Officer at an earliest and take action upon the complaint of the petitioner, in accordance with law, within a period of three weeks from today.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
