ORDER
This writ petition is filed seeking for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus to direct the the 1st Respondent to Classify the land in the A-Register issued in the year 2019 as Ryotwari instead of Government land wrongly entered in 1/4
respect of Petitioners land measuring 1.47 Acres, comprised in Survey No. 396/5B situated at Kariamangalam Village, Chengam Taluk, Thiruvannamalai District.
2. The petitioner is the owner of the agricultural lands measuring 1.47 acres, comprised in Survey No.396/5B situated at Karimangalam Village, Chengam Taluk, Thiruvannamalai District. While so, to his shock and surprise, he came to know that the said land is classified as Assessed Government Land. Hence, the petitioner made a representation on 24.08.2021 with a request to rectify the error with respect to classification of land in A-Register maintained by the first respondent, which is pending without consideration.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may issue a direction to the first respondent with respect to error in classifying the petitioner's land as Ryotwari instead of Government Assessed Land within a reasonable time as fixed by this Court.
4. Therefore, Considering the facts and circumstances of this case, this Court, without going into the merits of this case, directs the first respondent to consider the representation 24.08.2021 made by the petitioner 2/4
and pass order(s) on merits and in accordance with law, after providing opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as any interested parties, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.
5. In view of the above directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
