O R D E R

The petitioner has come forward with this petition seeking a direction to the respondents to give adequate police protection to the petitioner on the date of Pongal Festival to be held on 04.05.2016.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

3.In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation given by the petitioner dated 23.03.2016 for police protection and take action in accordance with law. If the police apprehends any breach of peace, the second respondent shall provide necessary police protection to the petitioner.
