Respondents Prayer:- This Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. to directing the respondents 1 and 2 to give adequate police protection to the petitioner and her husband by name T.R.Ramachandran, now both are residing at Kamarajar Nagar, Kachirapalayam, Chinna Salem Taluk, Villupuram District as husband and wife.

ORDER

The petitioner has come forward with this petition for direction, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to provide adequate police protection on the basis of the representation given by the petitioner on 28.03.2016.

2.Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he is not pressing this petition in respect of the petitioners 3 to 6. He has also made an endorsement to that effect. Hence,

the Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as not pressed in respect of petitioners 3 to 6.

3.Learned counsel for the petitioner further submitted that since the petitioner got inter-caste marriage with one T.R.Ramachandran, the relatives of the petitioner made a life threat to the couple. Therefore, she gave a representation to the respondents on 28.03.2016. But, so far no order has been passed. Hence, this petition has been filed for the above stated relief.

4.At this juncture, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the father of the petitioner has given a complaint before the respondent police and on that basis, a case has been registered in Crime No.129 of 2016 on 12.03.2016 for girl missing. He had further submitted that he would leave the matter for Court consideration. 5.Considered the rival submissions made by both sides and perused the typed set of papers.

6.The petitioner is aged about 20 years and her husband is aged about 24 years. They got inter-caste marriage and so, the relatives of the petitioner have made a life threat to the petitioner and her husband. Hence, she approached the respondent police and gave a representation on 28.03.2016. But, so far no order has been passed. Therefore, I am of the view that it is a fit case for giving direction to the second respondent. Accordingly, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation given by the petitioner on 28.03.2016 and provide police protection in accordance with law within a period of three days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7.The Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above direction.
