Respondents Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to pay the balance amount towards Provident Fund, Gratuity, Leave Salary and Subsistence allowance totalling a sum of Rs.3,91,768/- together with interest at the rate of 13% per annum from the date of superannuation till the date of payment within the time frame to be fixed by this Hon'ble Court. ORDER

The petitioner, who worked as Secretary from 27.2.1978 to 30.6.2008 at Thirukkalappur Primary Agricultural Co-operative Credit Society Limited, the third respondent herein, retired from service after putting in 30 years of service with effect from 30.6.2008. But his grievance is that although the petitioner got the part payment of Rs.2,15,834/- from the respondents, the balance retiral benefits have not been disbursed. Therefore, he has given a representation dated 17.12.2015 requesting the respondents to pay the balance amount.

2. Mr.D.Venkatachalam, learned Government Advocate takes notice on behalf of the respondents 1 & 2.

Considering the limited prayer made by the petitioner, this Court hereby directs the respondents 1 & 2 to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 17.12.2015 on merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
