The petitioner herein, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 419, 465, 468, 1/6

467, 471, 420 of IPC in Crime No.54 of 2025, on the file of the respondent Police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The allegation against this petitioner is that this petitioner by impersonating one A.R.Balasubramaniyam has come forward to sale the land not belong to him and collected a sum of Rs.1,17,00,000/- from the defacto complainant and also executed a power of attorney in favour of the defacto complainant's husband and subsequently, it revealed that the original A.R.Balasubramaniyam has lodged a separate complaint regarding the fabrication of documents and thereafter, it revealed that the petitioner and other accused were cheated the defacto complainant to the tune of Rs.1,17,00,000/-. Hence, the case.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. He further submitted that though the petitioner is ranked as A1, he has not impersonated any person and has been falsely implicated in this case. The petitioner is ready to abide by any stringent condition that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prayed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that on the earlier occasion, the anticipatory bail petition of A2 was dismissed by this Court and still the investigation is not completed. Hence, he opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering the nature of allegation involved in this case and also considering the fact that there is no recovery of amount and the investigation is at preliminary stage, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. 14.10.2025 smv To 1.The Inspector of Police, CCB-Avadi City, Tiruvallur District.
