The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the third respondent to register the case based on the petitioner's complaint dated 22.12.2015.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner, a case was already registered in Crime No.98 of 2016 for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 294(b), 447, 506(i) I.P.C., by the third respondent police and the same is under investigation.

3. Since a case was already registered on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner, the prayer that has been made in the present petition has become infructuous. Hence, the criminal original petition is closed.
