5. PADAVETTAN .. Respondents Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing respondents 1 to 4 to take action based on the petitioner's representations dated 09.06.2023 and 14.06.2023 to remove the encroachment made by

the 5th respondent comprised in Survey No 92/14A to an extent of 0.81.5 Ares (201.305 Acres) situated at Lake, water body land in Jaderi village, Cheyyar Taluk, Tiruvannamalai District. ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Acting Chief Justice) Alleging that the fifth respondent has encroached on the land comprised in Survey No.92/14A situated in Jaderi Village, Cheyyar Taluk, Tiruvannamalai District, the petitioner sent representations on 9.6.2023 and 14.6.2023 to the respondent authorities. As the said representations did not evoke any response, the present writ petition is filed.

2. Considering the narrow scope of the prayer made in the writ petition, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the

matter, we direct the respondent authorities to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 9.6.2023 and 14.6.2023, on merits and in accordance with law, and pass appropriate orders within twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, of course after affording opportunity to all the interested persons, including the fifth respondent.

The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.
