The petitioner, who is arrayed as an accused, was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 23.03.2016 for an alleged offence punishable under Section 25[1][a] of Arms Act in Crime No.2655 of 2016 on the file of the respondent police and hence, seeks bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner and other accused are students of Nandanam Arts College and they are having enmity with other students of the same college. While so, on 23.03.2016, they were found with lethal weapons to attack the other rival group. 3.Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is studying second year B.Com. in Nandanam Arts College and he is also implicated falsely in one another case. It is further submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated as an accused in the present case.

sri 4.Learned Government Advocate [Criminal Side] appearing for the respondent would submit that the petitioner has no bad antecedents and he joined with the other accused to attack the rival group. It is further submitted that major part of the investigation is over. 5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to grant bail to the petitioner with certain conditions. 6.Accordingly, the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail on his executing a bond for Rs.10,000/- [Rupees Ten Thousand only] with two sureties each for a like sum, to the satisfaction of the learned XVII Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, Chennai and on further condition that the petitioner shall report before the Inspector of Police, West Tambaram Police Station, Chennai, daily at 6.00p.m. until further orders. 12.04.2016 sri Crl.O.P.No.8116 of 2016
