Prayer Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st and 2nd respondents to consider and dispose of the Petitioner's representation dated 16.06.2025 and consequently, to effect mutation in the property tax records maintained in respect of the premises bearing Door No. 163 A (Old No. 51) Gangaiamman Koil Street Vadapalanl Chennai - 600026 by transferring the assessment from the name of the deceased Mr.S.Syed Ibrahim to the names of the minor children, namely, S.I.Muhammad Hameez and S.I. For Respondent : Mr.E.C.Ramesh Standing Counsel Order Heard Mr.K.Shahul Hameed learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.E.C.Ramesh, learned Standing Counsel, who takes notice on behalf of respondents. With consent, the main Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

This Writ Petition is filed seeking for an issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 16.06.2025 and consequently, to effect mutation in the property tax records maintained in respect of the premises bearing Door No. 163 A (Old No. 51) Gangaiamman Koil Street Vadapalanl Chennai - 600026 by transferring the assessment from the name of the deceased Mr.S.Syed Ibrahim to the names of the minor children, namely, S.I.Muhammad Hameez and S.I. Hazeema as per the valid and notarized Hiba executed on 21.02.2016.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has submitted a representation dated 16.06.2025 seeking to mutate the property tax records in respect of a property, (morefully described above) by transferring the assessment from the name of the deceased Mr.S.Syed Ibrahim to the names of the petitioner's minor children, however, the said representation has not evoked any response, hence, the present Writ Petition seeking for aforesaid relief.
4. The learned Standing Counsel for the respondents would submit that the representation made by the petitioner would be considered and disposed of within the time limit as prescribed by this Court.

In view of the submission made by the learned Standing Counsel for the respondents and considering the limited scope of the prayer, sought for by the petitioner, in this Writ Petition, this Court, without expressing any view with regard to the merits of the contentions putforth by the petitioner either in the Writ Petition, or in the representation, is of the view that, suffice it is to direct the respondents to consider and dispose of the petitioner's 3/5
representation in a time bound manner.
6. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the representation made by the petitioner dated 16.06.2025 and dispose of the same as early as possible, preferably, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
