The petitioner, who is arrayed as A-1, was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 20.03.2016 for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 294[b], 336, 427, 392 r/w 397, 506[ii] of IPC and Section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Prevention of the Harassment of Women Act, 1998 in Crime No.242 of 2016 on the file of the respondent police and hence, seeks bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that on 20.03.2016, the petitioner / A-1 along with A-2 had robbed Rs.1,200/- from the de facto complainant and also misbehaved with her.

3.Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner filed a case against one Vijayakumar and two other constables, who is working in the respondent police station before the State Human Rights commission in SHRC No.6463 of 2015 and the case was posted for final hearing on 21.03.2016 and to prevent the petitioner to contest the case, a false case was registered against him on 20.03.2016. It is further submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the respondent.

sri 4.Per contra, learned Government Advocate [Criminal Side] appearing for the respondent would submit that the petitioner is having two previous cases and the case was registered based on the complaint given by one Mrs.Chachchu, aged about 42 years. It is further submitted that major part of the investigation is over.

5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to grant bail to the petitioner with certain conditions. 6.Accordingly, the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail on his executing a bond for Rs.10,000/- [Rupees Ten Thousand only] with two sureties each for a like sum, to the satisfaction of the learned VII Metropolitan Magistrate, George Town, Chennai - 600 001 and on further condition that the petitioner shall report before the learned V Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai, on all working days at 10.30a.m. until further orders. 12.04.2016 sri Crl.O.P.No.7721 of 2016
