O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the first respondent to grant an order of stay in AP No.36 of 2023 and AP No.75 of 2024 filed against the orders dated 03.11.2023 and 07.08.2024 passed by the second respondent till the disposal of the statutory appeals filed under Sections 54(4) and 26(5) of the Tamil Nadu Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Act, 1959 respectively.

2. Heard Mr.N.Manokaran, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.S.Ravichandran, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondents.

3. The main grievance expressed by the petitioner is that the appeals filed by the petitioner in A.P.No.36 of 2023 and A.P.No.75 of 2024 against the orders passed by the second respondent dated 03.11.2023 and 07.08.2024 under Sections 54(4) and 26(5) of the Tamil 2/4

Nadu Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Act, 1959, are pending before the first respondent. While so, a person, who is unconnected, filed a writ petition before this Court in W.P.No.24892 of 2025 with an innocuous prayer and this writ petition was disposed of on 08.07.2025. Based on the same, the impugned notice dated 08.07.2025 has been received by the petitioner.

4. When the writ petition was disposed of by me on 08.07.2025, the pendency of the appeals was never brought to my notice. Hence, the order passed in W.P.No.24892 of 2025 dated 08.07.2025 is kept in abeyance. The notice of hearing issued by the second respondent shall also be kept in abeyance. There shall be a direction to the first respondent to deal with the pending appeals in AP No.36 of 2023 and AP No.75 of 2024 after affording opportunity to the petitioner and the third respondent temple and final orders shall be passed within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Depending on the final result in the appeals, further action can be taken. N.ANAND VENKATESH, J 3/4
