PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to direct the respondent police herein to issue a non traceable certificate to the petitioner in original document number bearing 4073 of 1959 dated 18.12.1959 base on the representation of the petitioner dated 22.03.2019 and 03.07.2019. This Criminal Original Petition is filed to direct the respondent police herein to issue a non traceable certificate to the petitioner in original document number bearing 4073 of 1959 dated 18.12.1959 based on the representations of the petitioner dated 22.03.2019 and 03.07.2019.
2. The petitioner herein had given representations dated 22.03.2019 and 03.07.2019, seeking for tracing of all the original partition deed. Since the representations were not considered by the respondent Police, the present Criminal Original Petition was filed.
3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent police submitted that the respondent Police is in the process of conducting an enquiry for the purpose of tracing the certificates. She further submitted that the appropriate authority to issue a non traceable certificate with regard to the land documents is the District Crime Records Bureau (Crime Branch).

4. This Court is of the view that a direction to the respondent Police to consider the petitioner's representations in accordance with law, would meet the ends of justice.
5. In the light of the above observations, there shall be a direction to the respondent Police to consider the petitioner's representations dated 22.03.2019 and 03.07.2019 on its own merits and take appropriate action atleast within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In case the respondent is of the view that the documents cannot be traced, a recommendation to the District Crime Records Bureau (Crime Branch) shall be made for the issuance of non traceable certificate and such authority shall issue the certificates within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of such recommendation.
6. This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of, accordingly.
