(This case has been heard through Video conference) Learned counsel for the petitioner/de facto complainant would submit that the marriage between the daughter of the petitioner and A1 was performed on 25.05.2013 and within 2 years and 5 months, the daughter of the petitioner was found dead in the suspicious circumstances in the house of the accused. He would further submit that earlier, the victim was harassed and tortured by the accused in respect of which, a complaint was given to the respondent on 19.12.2013 whereas, the Trial Court, ignoring the statutory presumptions under Section 113(B) of the Evidence Act, had acquitted the accused.

2. Having heard the counsel and perused the materials available on record, this Court is of the opinion that a prima facie case is made out for grant of leave.
