The issue as to whether the petitioner is entitled for Armed Police protection is a decision to be taken by the second respondent herein based on various factors and this Court may not be justified in ordering the prayer sought for by the petitioner.

2.In this connection, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that he has already made a representation to the second respondent on 14.08.2019 seeking for protection and the same is pending. In the light of such a submission, if the second respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation on its own merits, the ends of justice could be secured.

3.Hence, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 14.08.2019 as expeditiously as possible, in any event within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
