Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Certioraified Mandamus, to call for the records relating to the impugned order issued by the 3rd respondent in Rc.No.A1/2102/2023/PC(CH) dated 17.07.2025, signed on 18.07.2025 and the subsequent order issued by the 4th respondent in D.No.483 of 2025 dated 18.07.2025 and to quash the same and consequently allow the petitioner to continue in service in the post of Assistant Professor in History in the 4th respondent college, as per the appointment order issued by the 3rd respondent in Rc.No.A1/2102/2023/PC (CH) dated 01.10.2024 with grant of Equivalence Certificate, Qualification approval and Appointment Approval by the respective respondents, with all consequential and other attendant benefits including arrears of salary, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

The instant writ petition has been filed to challenging the impugned order dated 18.07.2025 by and in which the petitioner's appointment was cancelled and he was ordered to be relieved on the ground that the equivalence certificate in the Ph.D qualification had not been provided by the Madras University.
2. Learned counsel appearing for the Pachaiyappa's College/3rd respondent would submit that they will hold the order and would seek direction against the 5th respondent to give Equivalence Certificate in respect of the petitioner's qualification within a reasonable time.
3. Learned counsel appearing for the 5th respondent/Madras University would submit that the request made by the 4th respondent would be considered, and he seeks reasonable time to pass orders upon the representation of the petitioner seeking Equivalence Certificate, according to its own merits and in accordance with law.
4. In view of the aforesaid submission made by the learned counsel for the respondents, this Court deems it appropriate to quash the impugned order dated 18.07.2025, and remitted back to the 4th respondent for fresh consideration after the decision of the 5th respondent. In the meanwhile, the 5th respondent is directed to pass orders on the request of the petitioner for 3/8
granting equivalence certificate according to its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight(8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. , This writ petition has been listed at request of learned counsel appearing for the petitioner under the caption 'For Being Mentioned'.
2. Heard the learned counsel for both sides.
3. The only submission of the petitioner is that the name of the Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioner has been wrongly mentioned as 'Mr.G.Gunasekaran' instead of 'Mr.G.Sankaran' in the order passed by this Court, dated 30.07.2025.
4. Hence, the Registry is directed to correct the name of the Senior Counsel for the petitioner as 'Mr.G.Sankaran' and to issue a fresh certified order copy.
