....Respondents Prayer :- Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus Directing the respondents to secure and safeguard the properties of 14th respondent temple and restore the same in favour of 14th respondent temple by considering petitioners representation dated 24.11.2017 and 07.11.2023.

ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to secure and safeguard the properties of 14th respondent temple and restore the same in 2/6

favour of 14th respondent temple by considering petitioners representations dated 24.11.2017 and 07.11.2023.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that the 14th respondent is a temple and it has property in S.F.No.10, Samuthiram Village, Edappady Taluk, Salem District to an extent of 3-28.50 Hectare. The temple is under the control of the 3rd respondent. The petitioner has brought to the knowledge that the temple properties are under the control of land grabbers who illegally occupied the said lands. Hence, the petitioner made a representation to the respondents on 07.11.2023 which was not considered till date. Hence, the present writ petition.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may direct the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioners representation within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the representation will be considered and 3/6

appropriate orders will be passed by the third respondent within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the limited request sought for by the petitioner, this court directs the third respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation on 24.11.2017 and 07.11.2023 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
