The petitioner who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 8(c), 20(b)(ii)(B) Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances Act 1985 in Crime No.199 of 2022, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner and other accused were found in possession of 1 Kg and 200 Grams of Ganja. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he is no way connected with the alleged offence. He would further submit that on the confession statement given by the co-accused, the petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioner along with other accused were found in illegal possession of 1 Kg and 200 Grams of Ganja. He further submitted that earlier this Court had

dismissed the anticipatory bail petitions filed by the petitioner in Crl.O.P.Nos.18320 of 2022 and 22051 of 2022 dated 04.08.2022 and 14.09.2022 respectively. Hence, he vehemently opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Though, this Court dismissed the anticipatory bail petitions on previous occasions, the petitioner has failed to surrender before the respondent police and that there is no change of circumstances. Hence, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed with cost. The petitioner is directed to pay a sum of Rs.5,000/- (Rupees Five Thousand only) to the Tamil Nadu State Legal Services Authority, Chennai. 20.10.2022 Lpp
