O R D E R

The petitioner herein has given a representation on 02.03.2019 to the 2nd respondent seeking patta in respect of 1.099 cents of land in T.S.No.25 part, Block No.25, Old Door No.29, New Door No.79 in old Survey No.105/18 at Velecherry Taluk, Urur Village.

2. The representation of the petitioner was again forwarded to the Tahsildar, Velacherry by the Revenue Divisional Officer for necessary action. Since no action has been taken, the present writ petition is filed seeking Mandamus. Now the Tahsildar has filed a status report with the following information:- "3.It is submitted that the petitioner in her petition dated 02.03.2019, has requested for issue patta to the land in Block No.27, T.S.No.27/1, Extent 480 Sq.ft., in Urur Village. 4.It is submitted that the land for which patta sought for by the petitioner, stands registered in the name of Corporation Kulam in Computerized Town Survey Land Register. Inspector of Survey who inspected the land in Block No.27, T.S.No.27/1, Urur Village has reported that the above said land is located within the Apartments in the name of PRAG Nest. The southern side of the land is lying vacant. The said vacant land is not under the possession of the petitioner. As the petitioner has not produced records to show that the vacant land is under the possession of herself, it has been ordered in the proceedings of the Tahsildar, Velacherry Taluk, Chennai-42in reference No.A1/2602/2019, Dated 04.10.2019 stating that the claim of the petitioner for transfer of registry as sought for by her for the land in Block No.27, T.S.No.27/1, Extent 480 Sq.ft., in Urur Village, Velacherry Taluk and issue of patta in her name is rejected. Copy of the said proceedings has been dispatched on 09.10.2019 to her residence."

The representation of the petitioner dated 02.03.2019 to the Revenue Divisional Officer has been forwarded to the Tahsildar and he in turn has considered the same and rejected vide order dated 04.10.2019. In view of the order passed by the Tahsildar on the representation of the petitioner, nothing survives in this writ petition and the same is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
