Pleader for R2 COMMON ORDER By consent of both the parties, these writ petitions are taken up for final disposal at the time of admission itself.

It is the case of the petitioners that the respondents demolished the houses belonging to the petitioners with the assurance that they will renovate the same with new one, without seeking any contribution from them. However, without any basic amenities viz., electricity connection, water connection, the respondents handed over the renovated houses to the petitioners. Thereafter, they approached the 3rd respondent to issue No Objection Certificate for getting the aforesaid basic amenities by way of representations, all dated 18.06.2025, which have not been considered, till date. Hence this writ petition.

3. Heard the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court.

4. Though very many grounds have been raised in the above writ petitions, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that, it would suffice, if this Court issues a direction to the 3rd respondent to consider the petitioners' representations dated 18.06.2025 and pass orders on merits within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5. However learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents 1 and 3 would submit that the petitioners have to pay the beneficiary amount to the respondent /Slum Clearance Board and only on such payment, the 3rd respondent will conduct enquiry and pass orders on merits. Therefore, she prays that this Court may issue appropriate directions in the above regard.

6. Considering the limited request sought for by the petitioners, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the 3rd respondent to consider the petitioners' representations dated 18.06.2025 on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. These writ petitions are disposed of with the aforesaid directions. No costs.
