PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code, to call for the records in S.C.No.272 of 2012 pending trial on the file of the Principal District Sessions Judge, Salem and quash the same.

This petition has been filed to quash the charge sheet in S.C.No.272 of 2012 pending trial on the file of the Principal District Sessions Judge, Salem against the petitioner for the offences under Sections 147, 148, 324 and 307 of I.P.C. and Section 3(1)(x) of the SC, ST Act r/w Section 149 of I.P.C.

2. When serious offences under Section 307 of I.P.C and Section 3(1)(x) of the SC, ST Act r/w Section 149 of I.P.C has been slapped against the petitioner, further, on perusal of the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

nature of the injuries sustained by the witnesses, this Court is about to dismiss this petition. At that time, the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner sought permission of this Court to withdraw this Criminal Original Petition and also made an endorsement to that effect.

3. In view of the submission made by the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the endorsement made, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as withdrawn. The trial Court, viz., learned Principal District Sessions Judge, Salem shall dispose of the case, viz., S.C.No.272 of 2012, as expeditiously as possible, on merits and in accordance with law.
