....Respondents Prayer :- Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to forthwith change the category of the petitioner's son Master Vishnutejas Raviprasad Mummidi from General to OBC (other Backward Class) in the petitioners son application No.240411263931 and Roll No.2712031056 for Neet UG - 2024 and consequently, permit to participate in the UG counselling for MBBS/BDS-2024.

ORDER
This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to forthwith change the category of the petitioner's son Master Vishnutejas Raviprasad Mummidi from General to OBC (other Backward Class) in the petitioners son application No.240411263931 and Roll No.2712031056 for Neet UG - 2024 and consequently, permit to participate in the UG counselling for MBBS/BDS-2024.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that his son is an Overseas Citizen of India, born on 07.10.2006, he has applied for the NEET 2024 UG exams and the application has been approved and he have appeared for the NEET exam which was conducted on 05.05.2024. He has secured 134 marks out of 720. He originally belongs to OBC and his application has been categorised under General category. Hence, the petitioner had sent a detailed representation to the respondents along with a copy of the community certificate and OBC certificate on 17.06.2024. Till date, the same has not been considered. Hence, the present writ petition.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may direct the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioners representation within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.
4. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the representation will be considered and orders will be passed by the second respondent within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court. 3/6
5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the limited request sought for by the petitioner, this court directs the second respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs. 06.09.2024 rli To
