2. The case of the petitioners is that they had undertaken and done the earthing work for LED street lights during 2018 for Kallakurichi and Vilupuram Districts. The further case of the petitioners is that even though the petitioners have completed the work to the satisfaction of the respondents, the amount has not been disbursed to the petitioners. Therefore, they had given representations dated 19.02.2020 seeking the balance amount payable to the petitioners and as the same has not been considered by the respondents. Hence, the present Writ Petitions have been filed.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that already Order has been passed as per the proceedings of the Collector, Villupuram dated 22.02.2019 and the amount will be disbursed to the petitioners within a period of two weeks.
4. In such view of the matter, the respondents shall release the amount to the petitioners within a period of two weeks from today and failure to release the amount within two weeks, the amount shall carry interest at the rate of 7.5% per annum from the date of completion of work. 5/8
5. With the above direction, these Writ Petitions are disposed of. No costs.
