Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 3rd respondent to consider and pass order on petitioner's representation dated 12.09.2022 with regard to wrong entry in the revenue records in connection with S.No.130/6 total extent of 20 cents, situated at Gengaichudamani Village, Chetpet Taluk, Tiruvannamalai District and pass orders.

O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this writ petition directing the first respondent to dispose the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 13.04.2022 and pass orders.

2. The learned Additional Government pleader takes notice for the official respondent. In view of the consent expressed by the learned counsel appearing for either side, this petition is taken up for final disposal.

3. . The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner had purchased agricultural lands in S.No.130/6 to an total extent of 80 cents in Gengaichudamani Village and he was in possession and enjoyment of the same. Whileso in the revenue records 20 cents in the said survey no was erroneously entered in the name of the 5th respondent. Hence the petitioner gave a representation to the third respondents on 12.09.2022 to rectify the mistake but the same was not considered. Hence, this writ petition is filed with the aforesaid prayer.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the it would suffice, if this Court issues direction to consider the representation dated 12.09.2022 within a reasonable time fixed by this Court.

Considering the limited request made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to direct the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.09.2022 and pass orders in terms of Section 10 of Patta Pass Book Act,1983 after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as the private respondent, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above terms, these writ petitions are disposed of. No costs.
