Petition filed under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 to direct the Judicial Magistrate, Tambaram to take-up the final report filed by the respondent police in E-filing No.LTN20240002888C202400027 on 07.12.2024 (arising out of Crime No.1001 of 2018 on the file of respondent Police) and deal with the same in accordance with law as contemplated u/s.210 of BNSS Act, 2023. The petition is filed to direct the Judicial Magistrate, Tambaram to take up the final report filed by the respondent police in E-filing No.LTN20240002888C202400027 dated 07.12.2024. 1/4

2. It can be seen that the final report is filed as early as on 07.12.2024. Therefore, the matter cannot brook any further delay. The learned Judicial Magistrate, Tambaram is directed to scrutinise the final report in accordance with law and pass further orders thereon within one week from the date of receipt of the web copy of the order.

3. It is stated that in the said court and also in other Courts in the District, the matters are pending after filing of the final reports through efiling. Since after introduction of the e-filing system, huge number of final reports were filed and there were some hiccups in the functioning of the system which includes the training of the staff, internet speed and the final reports being first directed to the Chief Judicial Magistrate and thereafter forwarded to the Judicial Magistrate etc, and there has been piling up of these matters. Therefore, a copy of this order is directed to be placed before the learned Principal District Judge, Chengalpattu who shall look into the matter and if necessary, by giving overtime to the staff concerned, even by asking the willing staff to come on Saturdays and Sundays or by allocating additional staff members, by any other method feasible, take such steps to clear of the pending arrears that are already e2/4

filed and are pending without any examination by the Courts concerned.
