Writ, order or direction, declaring that the petitioner is entitled to continue in service till he completes 60 years of age, i.e., till 31.03.2019 as he is a Teacher of the University as defined in Section 2(o) of the Thiruvalluvar University Act 2002, in the light of the law declared by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in the case of P.S.Rama Mohana Rao v. A.P.Agricultural University reprted in CDJ 1997 SC 530:1997 (8) SSC 350 and consequently, direct the respondent to deduct GPF contribution from the petitioner's salary which has been stopped since December 2016 from the salary of the petitioner on the basis of his representation dated 23.03.2017.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that during the pendency of this Writ Petition, the petitioner is died and in view of the subsequent development, nothing survives in this Writ Petition and requested to dismiss this Writ Petition as infructuous. 2.
