This petition has been filed to direct the 1st respondent to register the petitioner's complaint dated 07.02.2016.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner; learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents and perused the materials placed on record.

3. It is seen that this petitioner was assaulted by the opposite party on 07.02.2016. In connection with the said incident, he has given a complaint to the Inspector of Police, Tiruvallur. The petitioner has not attached any proof for having been given the complaint.

4. Under such circumstances, the petitioner is directed to give a fresh complaint in person to the 1st respondent along with Wound Certificate if any and on such complaint being given, the same shall be enquired into and take action in accordance with law, if it discloses the commission of a cognizable offence or drop action otherwise.
