O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the 3rd and 4th respondents not to harass the petitioner and the family members of the petitioner and investigate the case in accordance with law.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that based on the complaint lodged by one Varalakshmi, the 3rd respondent

police is frequently calling the petitioner and harassing her. It is further submitted by the petitioner that in fact, the enquiry was already conducted on the said complaint. Inspite of the same, the 3rd respondent is frequently calling the petitioner over phone and asking her to come and attend the enquiry.

3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that it is incorrect to state that the enquiry was conducted. In view of the pending of the complaint lodged by Ms.Varalakshmi, the petitioner was called for the enquiry and the respondent police has no intention to harass the petitioner or her family members and only to avoid the enquiry, the present petition has been filed.

4. Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court is constrained to pass the following order:- (i) The petitioner is directed to cooperate with the enquiry.

(ii) The 3rd respondent police is directed to conduct the enquiry in accordance with law, without harassing the petitioner or her family members.

5. The criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly.
