ORDER
This writ petition has been filed to direct the 3rd respondent to complete the disciplinary proceedings initiated as against the petitioner pursuant to the charge Memo in Na.Ka.No.007/2021/B2 dated 06.04.2022 pending on its file within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Hon'ble Court considering special increment is due from October, 2024 not given due to the pendency of above disciplinary proceedings and the impending promotion to the post of Assistant Manager.
2. Heard Mr.S.Sathiaseelan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mrs.E.Ranganayagi, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner was issued with the charge memorandum dated 06.04.2022 and that he has submitted a reply on 24.08.2022. Though an Enquiry Officer was appointed on 17.05.2023, the domestic enquiry has not been concluded sofar and no final order has been passed. Hence, prayed for a early disposal of the disciplinary proceedings.
4. At this juncture, the learned Special Government Pleader would submit that the Enquiry Officer has already submitted report on 20.09.2023 and they would pass final order within a reasonable time.

In view of the above submissions, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter deems it appropriate to direct the respondents to pass final orders upon the disciplinary proceedings initiated against the petitioner within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order in line with the Circular in R.C.38614/2009 S.F2(1) dated 6.4.2009, if it is otherwise applicable to the present facts of the case.
6. In the result, this writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
