O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to setaside and modify the condition imposed in the bail order passed by the learned Principal Sessions Judge, Chengalpattu in Crl.M.P.No.1928 of 2024 on 22.07.2024.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the

petitioner was arrested by the respondent police on 02.06.2024 and remanded to judicial custody on the same day and the petitioner was in judicial custody for more than 26 days. The Principal Sessions Court, Chengalpattu, while granting bail to the petitioner, has imposed a condition that the petitioner was directed to report before the respondent police daily at 10.30 a.m for a period of 30 days. He further submitted that the respondent police harassed and ill-treated him badly and the petitioner apprehends that a false case may be foisted against him by the respondent police. Hence, he sought for modification for the above said condition.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent police.

4. Considering the submissions of the learned counsel on either side and also considering the reasons stated by the petitioner that there is a life threat to the petitioner, the condition imposed by the learned Principal Sessions Judge, Chengalpattu , in Crl.M.P.No.1928 of 2024

dated 22.07.2024 that "the petitioner is directed to report before the respondent police station daily 10.30 am for a period of 30 days ", is modified to the effect that the petitioners shall report before the Judicial Magistrate No.I, Alandur everyday at 10.30 a.m for a period of 30 days. The other conditions imposed by the Court below shall remain intact.

5. With the abovesaid modification, this Criminal Original Petition stands ordered.
