Respondent Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the entire records pertaining to and connected with the order dated 03.02.2017 in proceeding No.1/G5/307/TNSTC (Kovai)/2015 and the order dated 24.03.2017 in proceeding No.1/G5/307/TNSTC/2015 passed by the respondent, quash the same and consequently direct the respondent to reopen the enquiry, to permit the petitioner to avail the assistance of either a lawyer or a co-worker to assist him in the enquiry with a right to cross-examine the management witnesses on his behalf, to provide him the entire copy of the certified standing orders, to give him opportunity to cross-examine the management witness and to produce evidence on his side and only thereafter to proceed further in accordance with law, award costs and thus render justice. 1/4

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent.

During the course of hearing, the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent submits that during the pendency of the writ petition, on 30.05.2019, the sole petitioner died. Subsequently, the respondent-Corporation has dropped the disciplinary proceedings initiated against the petitioner and settled all monetary benefits in favour of the legal heirs of the petitioner. 3.
Learned counsel for the petitioner also endorsed the same. 4.
In view of the above factual position, in my considered opinion, no further adjudication is required in this case and accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous.

Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 2/4
