ORDER
By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. In view of the order that this Court proposes to pass and also the limited relief that is sought to be granted, notice to respondents 6 and 7 is dispensed with.
2. The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of mandamus to dispose of the appeal pending before the 3rd respondent whereby rejection of petitioner's request to include the name of legal heirs of petitioner's father in the joint patta in respect of the lands comprised in Survey Nos.23/3, 23/5, 43/1, 42/2A, 42/3A1, 42/1, 47/2, 49/2, 21/3A2 situated at Ottupatti Village, Pappireddypatti Taluk, Dharmapuri District, was challenged.
3. At the outset, it is submitted by Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special 2/5
Government Pleader for respondents that the above appeal would be disposed of by the respondents after issuing notice and after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, respondents 6, 7 and other interested parties, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
4. In view thereof, the writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the 3rd respondent to consider and dispose of the appeal dated 08.01.2025, after issuing notice and affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to petitioner, respondents 6, 7 and other interested parties, if any, within a period of 16 weeks from the date of uploading of web copy without waiting for the receipt of certified copy. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the case and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the matter on its own merits and in accordance with law.
