Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to pass order on the petitioner's representation dated 07.07.2023 and change the extent 5.39 are to 5 are in FMB, comprising survey No.153/3A1A as per title deed 1/5

Doc.No.12255/2017, property situated at Guduvancheri Village, Vandalur Taluk, Chengalpattu District and consequently recommend to issue patta for the extent of 3225 sq.ft., for the petitioner's property comprising survey No.153/3A1B as per petitioner's title deed document No.9079/1985, within specific time frame.

O R D E R

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the first respondent to consider her representation dated 07.07.2023 seeking rectification of FMB pertains to her property situated in S.No.153/3A1A as per her title deed registered as Doc.No.12255/2017 dated 05.12.1985.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that she purchased 3225 sq.ft of land in the above mentioned property under a registered sale deed dated 05.12.1985 through Doc.No.9079/1985. At the time of issuance of patta the extent of the property was wrongly mentioned. Therefore, the petitioner 2/5

submitted a representation before the respondents 1 & 2 on 07.07.2023 seeking rectification of error with regard to the extent in the revenue records and the same has not been considered. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents 1 & 2 would submit that the first respondent has already initiated enquiry and the same will be considered, within a time frame fixed by this Court.

4. In view of the same, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 07.07.2023 and pass final order, on its own merits, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order, after issuing necessary notice to the petitioner as well as the third respondent.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No 3/5

costs.
