O R D E R
The Criminal Original Petition in Crl.O.P.No.24993 of 2025 was filed seeking a direction to the learned Principal District and Sessions Judge, Special Court for SC/ST Cases, Thirupathur to consider the bail application of the petitioners on the same day on merits in accordance with law in the event of their surrender in connection with Crime No.313 of 2025 on the file of the respondent.
2. The said Crl.O.P.No.24993 of 2025 was allowed by this Court vide order dated 12.09.2025, the relevant portion of which is as under. "2. In view of the specific bar under Section 18 of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 and also taking into consideration of the possibility of misusing the pious intention of the Parliament against innocent persons, there shall be a direction to learned Special Court for SC/ST Cases, Villupuram District, to consider the petitioners' bail application, preferably on the same day of their surrender in connection with Crime No.270 of 2025 on the file of the second respondent and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after affording 2/4
due opportunity to the victims under Section 15-A of the SC/ST (POA) Act, 1989. The petitioners shall surrender before the concerned jurisdictional Court, within a period of fifteen days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
3. Now, the instant Criminal Miscellaneous Petition has been filed seeking extension of time by fifteen days on the ground that the petitioners could not comply with the order dated 12.09.2025 in time.
4. Satisfied with the reasons stated in this petition, time to surrender before the jurisdictional Court is extended by 15 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition stands ordered accordingly.
