ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence punishable under sections 417 of IPC and offences under section 4 of TN Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002 in Crime No.52 of 2021 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.
2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner herein had intimate relationship with the defacto complainant and had promised to marry her and further alleged that petitioner had suppressed about his earlier marital status and the connected matrimonial dispute. Hence the complaint.
3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has not committed any such offence as alleged by the prosecution and he has been falsely implicated in this case. 4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that the petitioner had suppressed about his earlier marital status and the connected matrimonial dispute and had intimate relationship with the defacto complainant. Hence, he vehemently opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
5. Considering the allegation level against the petitioner and also considering the nature of offence committed by the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
