ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 19.06.2025 and to issue the legal heir ship certificate of late Varun by including the name of the daughter.

Heard Mr.S.A.Raj Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and MR.R.Neelakandan, learned Additional Advocate General Assisted by Mr.T.M.Rajangam, learned Government Advocate for respondents 1 and 2.

The petitioner seems to have married Varun, when the 1st marriage was in subsistence. A child was also born out of this

relationship. The said Varun died on 02.06.2025. The petitioner thereafter made an application seeking for issuance of legal heir ship certificate by including the name of the child. Since the same was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the submissions made on either side, there shall be a direction to the petitioner to submit a fresh on-line application before the 2nd respondent along with all the particulars. The 2nd respondent shall conduct an enquiry and shall issue the legal heir ship certificate by showing the name of all the legal heirs within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of the on-line application from the petitioner.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
