By consent of both the learned counsel for the parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal, at the admission stage itself.
2. The instant writ petition has been filed with a prayer for issuing a Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 21.03.2024 and 15.11.2024 and to implement the Special Time Bound Scale of Pay of Rs.6,500-200-10,500 in accordance with G.O.Ms.No.26/LAS/2007 dated 15.06.2007, Corrigenda dated 20.02.2008 and 28.02.2014, and the subsequent clarification dated 06.04.2020 and Sanction and disburse all consequential monetary benefits, including arrears 2/6
and revised pensionary benefits, with interest at 12% p.a. from 01.01.1996 till the date of actual payment.
3. Heard the learned counsel for both sides and perused the materials available on record.
4. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is retired employee of Puducherry Municipality. On the date of retirement, he was functioned as an Office Manager. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that by virtue of G.O.Ms.No.26/LAS/2007, Local Administration Secretariat, dated 15.06.2007, the Respondents-Department have amalgamated the posts of Office Manger Grade-1 and Grade-II and provided a special time bound scale of pay. However, inspite of pay was revised by the Local Fund Audit, the respondents delayed the implementation of the same. In this connection, the petitioner has sent a representation to the respondents on 21.03.2024 and thereafter, second representation on 15.11.2024 and such representations are pending with the respondents.
5. At this juncture, the learned Government Advocate (Pondicherry) 3/6
appearing for the respondents would submit that they will consider the petitioner's representation according to it's own merits and in accordance with law, within a reasonable time.

In such view of the above submission, without going into the merits of the writ petition, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representations dated 21.03.2024 and 15.11.2024 and pass orders on it's own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
