ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard learned counsel for the parties.
2. The relief sought in this petition is to widen the road from the existing width of 13 feet to 30 feet as an access to the main road, cannot be ordered by the writ court. The width of the road cannot be altered by this court in the absence of any law which directs that any road should have a particular width.
3. A reply has been filed by the State which is taken into
consideration, wherein the State has opposed such relief of diversion of land for the purpose of widening of the road.
4. The writ petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. This order shall not come in the way of the respondents in planning of widening of the road in future.
