(Order of the Court was delivered by M.S.RAMESH, J.) Complaining that her daughter is being harassed by her husband, who is the 4th respondent herein, and that there is a danger to her life from him, the petitioner had given a complaint to the 3rd respondent police on 26.04.2022, and in this background, the present Habeas Corpus Petition is filed.

2. Today, when the matter was called, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submitted that after the petitioner's complaint, her daughter was traced and when enquired she had given a written statement stating that though she had left the matrimonial house of the 4th respondent, she has now reconciled with him and is living with him on her own consent. The petitioner's daughter is aged about 36 years. Now that she has given a statement that she is cordially living with her husband, we 2/4

do not consider the detention as illegal.

3. In view of the statement made by the petitioner's daughter before the respondent police, no further orders are required in the present Habeas Corpus Petition. Accordingly, the Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed. [M.S.R., J] [S.M., J] 29.01.2024 bga Index : Yes / No To
