The petitioner was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 22.03.2016 for the alleged offences punishable under sections 341, 294(b), 336, 385, 325, 307, 427, 506(ii) IPC, in Crime No.377 of 2016 on the file of the respondent police and hence, seeks bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that on 22.03.2016, the petitioner along with A-1 demanded money from the de-facto complainant at knife point.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that due to political ventata, the petitioner has been falsely implicated and he is an innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution and he has been falsely roped in this case. It is further submitted that no one injured in the alleged occurrence.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for

the respondent would submit that the date of occurrence is 22.03.2016 and totally there are two accused and this petitioner has been arrayed as A-2 and remanded to judicial custody on 22.03.2016 and he demanded Rs.2,000/- from the complainant, while he refused, the petitioner attacked with knife. It is further submitted that the petitioner is having five previous cases under Sections 302, 307, 397 and 336 respectively.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to grant bail to the petitioner with certain conditions.

6. Accordingly, the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail on his executing a personal bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) with two sureties each for a like sum to the satisfaction of the learned Metropolitan Magistrate-XV, George Town, and on further condition that the petitioner shall stay at Villupuram and report before Villupuram Town Police Station daily twice at 10.00 a.m., and 5.00 p.m., for a period of two weeks and thereafter, he shall appear before the respondent police as and when required.
