Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 3 & 4 to pass the 1/5

order for rectification of extent in the patta No.1378 in the light of the enquiry report submitted by the fifth respondent in Ma.Ka.Aa.425/2022, dated 06.05.2022 within the time stipulated by this Court. O R D E R

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents 3 & 4 to rectify the error in the revenue records with regard to the extent of the property covered by the patta No.1378 pertains to property situated in Survey Nos.4/34, Old survey no.382/8A, situated in Nagaleriyar Street, Kalavai Village, Ranipet District.

2. By consent of both the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as respondents, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that the above mentioned property are his ancestors property and patta was issued in the name of the two persons, including the petitioner's father Ayyadurai Mudaliyar. In the said patta extent of the property was wrongly mentioned as 450 square meters instead of 620 2/5

square meters. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 20.03.2024, seeking rectification of the revenue records and the same has not been considered till date. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.

4. Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents would submit that the representation of the petitioner would be considered on its own merits and appropriate orders will be passed.

5. In view of the above submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the third respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 20.03.2024 and pass final orders, after issuing notice to all interested parties, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
