ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition is filed by the petitioner to direct the respondents not to harass the petitioner.

2.The petitioner employed as Manager in IT Company is living with his parents for the past 18 years and all his earnings have been given to his parents. The petitioner despite reaching the age of 39 years, no proposal for his marriage has been initiated by his parents and hence there was some dispute between them. On 23.06.2022, there was a wordy quarrel between the petitioner and his parents, thereafter the petitioner's parents left the house and started residing separately at Ekatuthangal. They were supported by petitioner's sister and brother-in-law. The petitioner made several attempts to pacify his parents and bring them back, but on the other hand, the petitioner's brother-in-law along with his parents attacked the petitioner with iron rod and to circumvent the same, they lodged a complaint as though the petitioner had attacked them. The respondent police failing to consider the petitioner's representation had been harassing the petitioner under the guise of enquiry. Hence, the above petition is filed. 2/5

3.Heard Mr.M.Tamil Priyan, learned counsel representing Mr.B.Chandran, learned counsel for the petitioner. 4.Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that the complainant in this case is none other than the father of the petitioner, based on his complaint C.S.R.No.277 of 2022 was assigned on 17.06.2022 and the petitioner was called for enquiry. He would submit that the petitioner failed and neglected to maintain his parents, abused them and harassed them. He further submits that after enquiry, C.S.R.No.277 of 2022 was closed on 28.10.2022 and the petitioner is no more required by the respondent police for any enquiry.

5.Finding that there is no apprehension as projected by the petitioner, nothing survives in this petition. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
