ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to to direct the 3rd respondent to provide police protection to the 4th respondent's department for providing agricultural electricity service connection to the Well situated in S.F.No.331 of Thokkavadi Village, Tiruchengode Taluk, Namakkal District, by considering the communication of 4th respondent department dated 30.09.2022 and the representation of petitioner dated 29.09.2022.
2. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that he has filed a writ petition in W.P.No.23430 of 2016 seeking a direction to give
service connection to the petitioner for the roadside open Well situated in Survey No.331, Thokkavadi Village, Tiruchengode Taluk, Namakkal District, wherein, a direction has been given by this Court on 09.06.2022 and in accordance with the direction given, the 4th respondent is also willing to provide electricity connection to petitioner's Well. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that a representation has been given to third respondent for according police protection, while executing the order of the Court.
4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police submitted that the authorities of electricity Department have also given a representation to the third respondent seeking police protection. In the said representation, it is stated that the authorities are going to the spot on 4.11.022 to implement the order passed by the Court and for which the 3rd respondent is also willing to do the needful.
5. Since the concerned authorities of TNEB has taken appropriate steps to implement the directions given by this Court in W.P.No.23430 of
2016 and they have also given a representation before the 3rd respondent for giving police protection on 4.11.2022, on which date the process as per the direction of the Court is scheduled, it is appropriate for the 3rd respondent police to consider the representation of the petitioner and the authorities concerned dated 29.09.2022 and 30.09.2022 respectively and do the needful in accordance with law.
6.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
