O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to consider the reply dated 16.10.2015 submitted by the petitioner to the proceedings of the 1st respondent having Ref.No.Na.Ka.A4/Pa.Ma/313/2014, dated 02.02.2015 and issue patta in the name of the petitioner in respect of all that piece of land measuring an extent of 14316
Sq.Ft. comprised in O.S.No.423, R.S.No.85, C.C.No.170 in Chennai Corporation bearing Plot Nos.9C, 9D and 9E situate at Anderson Road, Nungambakkam, Chennai - 600 034 expeditiously.
3. According to the petitioner, he has become absolute owner of the property measuring 14,316 Sq.Ft., in respect of a settlement deed and decree passed by the Sub Court, Ernakulam. Though the petitioner has submitted all the relevant documents to prove his title over the said property and also produced the original documents for verification, till date the petitioner's request for grant of patta has not been considered. Aggrieved against the same, the petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit the application for grant of patta was submitted by the petitioner as early as on 09.05.2014 and he has submitted reply to the 1st respondent on 16.10.2015 to the proceedings issued by the 1st respondent on 02.02.2015. inspite of the same, the patta has not been granted in favour of the petitioner.
5. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 submits that the application submitted by the petitioner is in progress.
6. Considering the submissions on either side, this Court is inclined to direct the 1st respondent to consider the application / representation / reply dated 16.10.2015 in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, after affording opportunity of personal hearing to the necessary parties.
With the above observation, this Writ Petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
