The petitioner, who is the sole accused, was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 01.04.2016 for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 7, 13(1)(d) r/w Section 13(2) of Prevention of Corruption Act,1988, in Crime No.1 of 2016 on the file of the respondent police and hence, seeks bail 2.The case of the prosecution is that the accused, who is working as Junior Assistant in District Registrar Office, Chengalpet, demanded Rs.25,000/- for releasing the guideline value, while registering the document.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is innocent and he has not committed any such offence as alleged by the prosecution and he has been falsely implicated in this case. 4.
Heard the learned Government Advocate [Criminal Side] appearing for the respondent.
5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the period of incarceration, this Court is inclined to grant bail to the petitioner, with certain conditions.

rrg 6.Accordingly, the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail on his executing a personal bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- [Rupees Ten Thousand only] with two sureties each for a like sum to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Chengalpet, and on further condition that the petitioner shall report before the respondent police daily at 10.00 a.m., until further orders.
