ORDER

This petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the respondents to grant leave for 30 days to her son the detenue, Abu Thahir, S/o.Mohammed Yacoob, aged about 38 years, Convict No.10681, detained at Central Prison, Kovai.

2. The petitioner's son, Abu Thahir is a life convict undergoing imprisonment at Central Prison in Coimbatore. The petitioner gave a representation to grant of ordinary leave to Abu Thahir on the ground that his mother is physically ill. Therefore, the present petition has been filed.

3. Heard Mr.S.Manoharan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners as well as Mrs. P. Kritika Kamal, learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents filed a counter, wherein it is stated that the petitioner's son was granted two days ordinary leave with police escort from 6 hours to 18 hours, which he availed.

5. In view of the above observation, this petition is closed with at liberty to life convict, to approach the concerned authorities as and when necessity arises in accordance with law.
