Respondent Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a Writ of Certiorified Mandamus to quash the impugned order passed in proceedings in Mu.Mu.1262/2012/C4 dated 06.09.2016 of the respondents and consequently direct the respondents to renew the DBBL Gun License No.C/1076/2009 to the petitioner.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a Writ of Certiorified Mandamus to quash the impugned order passed in proceedings in Mu.Mu.1262/2012/C4 dated 06.09.2016 of the respondents and consequently direct the respondents to renew the DBBL Gun License No.C/1076/2009 to the petitioner.

2. According to the petitioner, he has submitted an application for renewal of gun license in the year 2009 itself, he has attended enquiry before the 2nd respondent twice and without considering the same, the impugned order has been passed https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

rejecting his renewal. Aggrieved against the same, the petitioner has come forward with this petition.

3. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that as against the impugned order, the appeal remedy lies before the District Collector.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and perused the documents available on record.

5. Admittedly, the petitioner has preferred an appeal and a perusal of the same reveals that the same is in the form of representation. Hence the petitioner is directed to file a proper appeal before the appellate authority. When such appeal is filed within a period of 15 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order, the appellate authority is directed to consider the same as expeditiously as possible, after affording opportunity of personal hearing.

With the above observation, this Writ Petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
