PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to change the property tax in my name with regard to the Door No.1/86 and 1/84 in R.S.No.159/3 in Valliyarachal Village, kangeyam Taluk, Tiruppur District based on my representation dated 22.04.2019.

O R D E R

The petitioner herein seeks issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to change the property tax in his name with regard to Door No.1/86 and 1/84 in RS.No.159/3 in Valliyarachal Village, Kangeyam Taluk, Tiruppur District based on his representation dated 22.04.2008.

2. According to the petitioner, he purchased the above mentioned property from Perumal @ Rasool Bhai and others by way of registered sale deed dated 12.09.2018. The vendor of the petitioner also issued a no objection letter for mutation of revenue records. Subsequently, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 22.04.2019 to the respondent requesting him to change the property tax in the name of the petitioner. The said representation has not been considered by the respondent till date.

3. Though the counsel entered appearance for the respondent and his name is appeared in the list, there is no representation for the respondent. 2/4

In view of the limited prayer made by the petitioner, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the claim, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 22.04.2019 and pass final orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
